Ruth Williams is a painter who divides her time between New York and North Truro. Drawn to the landscape and colors that the sea and sand provides, Ruth’s paintings often evolve from the emotions that they evoke. “Once completed, my work is no longer about what I felt while creating and becomes more importantly about the feelings and reactions it awakens in the viewer.” Over the last two decades, along with a dynamic career as a School Counselor and private psychotherapist, Ruth has been pursuing painting, developing the craft, while exploring ideas of importance to her. “My greatest asset has always been my intuition. It has guided me through my personal and professional life. It continues to do so in my artwork.” Ruth’s artwork has been available selectively and has been placed in private collections across the country.
