Fahima Ashori is one of the bravest people I know. She is a visual artist who was living in Afghanistan. As an active and independent woman, she became a target of the Taliban. She was threatened by the Taliban and forced to shut her gallery and flee the country. With the help of some amazing people she and her sister made it to US in June 2022. I am lucky enough to be called “auntie” by her and I am honored to by part of her new family.
Fahima also happens to be an incredible artist. The Rice Polak Gallery is proud to by sponsoring an exhibition of Fahima’s work at the Provincetown Commons, located at 46 Bradford Street. The show will run from June 1st – June 11. The opening reception is tomorrow night, Friday June 2 from 5-7pm. If you are lucky enough to be in Provincetown, please stop by and meet Fahima and see her show.
