The Power of Humor in Contemporary Art
This is always my favorite time of the year – artwork starts to arrive and the new contemporary art season is on the horizon. At the same time I’ve been concerned that this year will be different and that I might need to tamp down my expectations. But guess what? I’m happy to say new work is arriving daily, and it is fantastic. Our artists have been using this time to be more creative and productive than ever.
Until the gallery opens its doors, I will be writing a series of “thematic” updates every week to 10 days, featuring a few artists at a time. This week’s theme is humor-what we now need more than ever!
